High Current PCB
Currents in PCBs up to some kilo-Amperes are requirements which result from topics like regenerative power supply and electromobility. Former approaches to solve problems of technical and economical realization were iceberg technique with selektivly etched thick copper foils, wire-laid technique with bonding wires onto copper foils to enhance conductor cross section, and other.
A completely new method is realized by high-current PCBs technique X-Cool. Here, copper bars from 1 to 3 mm thickness are integrated into the PCB. So, these busbars can be combined with electronic circuits.
