Variations:

- Microflex: 50 µm lines by laser direct imaging and laser outline, e.g. smallest FPC with 0.5 mm diameter

- DSA Flex: double side access FPC, single layer circuit with openings in coverlay from both sides
- Polyflex: flexible printed circuit with conductors protruding out of the edge of the FPC used for soldering in PTHs
